John Edwards for President

I decided to switch my support from Dennis Kucinich to John Edwards, because I like the way Edwards is speaking out about corporate greed and promising to fight corporate power to protect the environment.

Personally, I'm for Ron Paul.
I first saw him on several Alex Jones films, years before he announced he was running for President, and was really impressed by what he had to say.
Any politician who publicly associates with Alex Jones has to have some nerves of steel, and is apparently down with the kind of information Alex Jones presents to the public, such as 9/11 Truth Movement info and other examples of government-sponsored terror, digging in on surveillance cameras and the Patriot Act, Bilderbergs, CFR, Skull & Bones, the Bohemian Grove, NAFTA, and more.
I believe that Ron Paul would stand up to corporate greed, as well, on a global scale, and has promised to get the U.S. military out of the many, many countries that they're in, as well as doing away with federal income tax.
He's also been talking about reigning in the CIA and FBI, and about the puppet dictatorships that the CIA has been using to infiltrate "3rd world" countries for years.
Ron Paul is a revolutionary!
Thanks for opening up the discussion, this is definitely something worth talking about this time around.

Wow, Shunka I love you my man but Ron Paul is hardly Earth's best friend--or even respectful acquaintance. His lifetime voting score from the League of Conservation Voters is 30%. He has voted in support of offshore drilling and drilling in ANWR. He is heavily in favor of letting free market economics determine everything--meaning no federal regulation or oversight on corporation's environmental impacts. He thinks simply enforcing strict private property rights will somehow make everything okay. Apparently he fails to understand that if PALCO clearcuts all its privately owned land, that won't affect anybody else. Think the corporations will voluntarily engage in environmental responsibility?

About Kucinich; I think he has a much better overall record and vision for the environment, plus a much higher LCV score than Edwards (92% vs. 63% for Edwards).

Edwards was endorsed by Friends of the Earth and is the only major candidate that opposes nuclear power plants. I agree with anon that Paul is no environmentalist and I am also put off with his right wing positions on other issues too.

Yeah, in terms of the three major dem candidates, Edwards is by far the best...I watched some videos of Edwards after reading your blog and I was impressed with his stated positions on the environment. Kucinich is the most anti-nuclear candidate out there (and politician, probably)--he fought Yucca Mountain dumping from the beginning--but in terms of potential front runners, Edwards is way better than Hillary or Obama.
